I saw Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection last night. Let me preface this by saying, I love me some Tyler Perry, however this is probably my least favorite.
Madea is an icon in her own right and is always fun to spend time with but I just didn't find the usual funny I've come to expect from the franchise. The concept showed lots of promise, the actors are all competent in their own right, but something just didn't deliver in this movie. While no one can hit the ball out of the park every time, while not a strike out, it was only a base hit.
On the other hand, the preview of Alex Cross, starring Tyler Perry looked amazing. I can't wait to see this new action hero genre that Tyler is venturing into! While Madea's Witness Protection may prove that Tyler Perry can possible do wrong, I think Alex Cross will show that he indeed can do everything!
